The Tshwane University of Technology awarded Postgraduate Diplomas in Business Administration (PDBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees to deserving graduates in recognition of their resilience and hard work. The event took place at the Maslow Hotel in Menlyn Maine and was attended by prominent figures such as Limpopo Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba and Professor David Mabunda. The program was skillfully hosted by nationally renowned broadcaster Faith Mangope.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor for Teaching and Learning, Dr. Ben van Wyk, said, ‘TUT graduates are equipped with more capabilities that are inclusive to shape the world.’ The significance of this event was to celebrate uniqueness, innovation, hard work, and creativity. The Director of the Tshwane School for Business and Society, Prof. Hlengani Mathebula, pledged to elevate TSB to be among the top 5 business schools in South Africa and the top 15 in Africa by the time his term ends. He emphasized that TUT is not here to simply be part of the league; it’s in the game to claim the crown itself, not to cheer for others.
The keynote speaker of the evening was Rodger Foster, CEO and Managing Director of SA Airlink, who thoroughly discussed some of the challenges faced in the business world and how to overcome them. He highlighted the tough times at SA Airlink and emphasized the importance of rebuilding after adversity.
The atmosphere was calm as the beautiful sounds of Lindy and Friends Band echoed across the venue, while winners ascended the stage to receive their well-deserved awards. Among the top achievers in the first year of the MBA program was Richard Machava, and for the PDBA, Tshepo Michael Menyuku—true reflections of consistency, hard work, determination, and dedication!
