
The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) in collaboration with the South African Police Service launched October Transport Month on the 1st of October, led by Chief of TMPD Commissioner Yolande Faro and the TMPD management team. The event took place at a key location between the R80 and N4 highways, emphasizing the strategic importance of safe transportation in Tshwane.

Transport Month aims to raise awareness about road safety among residents. During the event, Commissioner Faro highlighted the importance of road safety while traveling:
Throughout October, the TMPD plans to host various educational activities and outreach programs to inform the public about the dangers of reckless driving, the importance of obeying traffic rules, and protecting vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists. The TMPD is dedicated to fostering a culture of safety and responsibility among all road users.
