In a proud and uplifting moment for Tshwane FM, eight of its team members have graduated this season, an achievement that reflects the station’s strong culture of learning, personal growth, and professional development. From the control room to the mic, from content production to performance, this milestone showcases just how impactful Tshwane FM has been in nurturing emerging talent.

While seven of the graduates are Journalism students, including presenters and producers, the celebration is made even more special by the inclusion of Mosima Praise, who earned her qualification in Performing Arts. This diversity of academic fields shows the richness of talent that Tshwane FM attracts and develops.

Among the graduates are Lindokuhle Nkosi and Faith Modise, who serve as presenters at the station. They opened up about the challenge of balancing academics and radio work, and how it also feels to be part of the station while still students. “It’s really a good feeling to know that you are already trusted with such huge responsibilities at such an early stage of your career,” said Lindokuhle.

Faith added, “At first it was hard; I’m not going to lie. Life felt overwhelming, but discipline got me through. You have to cut off the habits that so easily cling to us.”

Thokozani “TK” Biyana, a sports reporter and presenter, emphasized the value of career growth: “Working for Tshwane FM has been a great endeavor. There’s a fundamental of building one’s career, I am growing here.”

Pheladi Sekobo, a two-time graduate and content producer, expressed her gratitude for the skills and workplace maturity gained at the station: “They taught me how to behave at work, how to communicate, and how to work as a family. Everything I’ve learned here is preparing me for the future.”

Other graduates include Malesele Hlakudi, Thobani Xulu, and Masego Letsoalo, all of whom contributed in various essential roles at the station while completing their Journalism studies. Together, this group represents commitment, ambition, and the promise of a new generation of media professionals.

This impressive number of graduates in one season is a testament to Tshwane FM’s mission of empowering its team beyond the airwaves. Whether in journalism or the arts, Tshwane FM provides more than experience, it provides growth, structure, and opportunity.

Congratulations to Pheladi Sekobo, Lindokuhle Nkosi, Malesele Hlakudi, Thobani Xulu, Masego Letsoalo, Faith Modise, Thokozani Biyana, and Mosima Praise. Your achievements are not just individual success, but a collective victory for a station that continues to shape futures and inspire excellence.
