MEC for Education, Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Matome Chiloane

MEC for Education, Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Matome Chiloane announces the Nominees for this year’s Gauteng Sports Awards, on Thursday, October 31st at Emirates Airlines Park (previously known as Ellis Park Stadium).

Mr Chiloane emphasized the purpose of the event, acknowledging the hard work athletes put in, and rewarding them for representing our country and province.

He also highlighted the development of future stars from primary schools, fixing and extending township sporting infrastructures to channel other sporting codes such as swimming, athletics, and various sporting codes:

Each nominee  receives an amount of R15 000, while the winner walks away with R25 000, However there’s a special surprise package for Olympic and Paralympic Medal winners according to their Gold, Silver, and bronze medals respectively.
