The Department of Human Settlements and the GPF said they remain committed to creating impactful projects that benefit South Africans and strengthen communities.

Officials described Thuto Residence as a quality facility that prioritises safety, comfort, and community needs. The accommodation aligns with safety standards for student and township housing, ensuring that residents live in a secure and supportive environment.

Students staying at the residence say they feel safe and well taken care of. The facility offers amenities such as a gym, recreational activities, reliable water supply, and transport access, providing students with comfort and convenience.

The launch of Thuto Residence reflected government’s continued commitment to delivering safe, quality student accommodation and improving the wellbeing of students across the province.
